Years ago Hans G. Helms, a German poet (who happens to be Jewish) brought
out a book called FAH:M AHNIESGWOW-mainly sound poetry but with passages in
Beat-style English. A copy was sent to a book dealer friend of mine, George
Wittenborn, to see if he would distriubute it here in the USA. George gave
me his copy, saying that he would not have anti-Semitic literature in his
shop. I wrote to Helms about this-and got a furious communication back
protesting George's accusation. Which of the two do you think was right?
I made no assumption, but when you list some of the composers I admire and
put "blah blah blah" before and after, what are you saying?

things at the Ubuweb one, Ubuweb- <http://www.ubuweb.com/vp/index3.html>
(these aren't) among others. My next book that is coming out will be:
MODERNISM SINCE POSTMODERNISM (San Diego: San Diego State University Press,
June 1997). You can get it through Amazon Books, <http://www.amazon.com>.
