PostClassical Ensemble is proud to present one of the worlds’ masters of the traditional Chinese pipa, Min Xiao-Fen. She has performed with and premiered the work of such composes as John Zorn, Tan Dun, Zhou Long, Chen Yi and Philip Glass – and in New York City, she performed as Bjork’s special guest at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall.

This special Chinese New Year’s Eve performance includes works by Miles, Monk and Mingus with improvisation – plus traditional folksongs to celebrate the coming of the Year of the Dragon! More info on Min Xiao-Fen at www.bluepipa.org.
